The PräForm machine is equipped with light alloy press plates in the 520 x 400 mm format and heated firing bars. Firing strips of rounded shape are installed from the factory. These are particularly suitable for laminated and laminated papers, but also for bookbinding materials such as cloth. The pressure of the firing bars in the groove is adjustable independently of the set pressing pressure, and can thus be adapted to the selected bookbinding material and the required depth of the groove.

The temperature of the firing strips is regulated by a thermostat and is set according to the properties of the glue, the bookbinding material and also according to the working speed.

The machine is equipped with a time switch on which the desired pressing time can be set. After this time, the press opens automatically and the book can be removed. This allows the work cycle to be very precisely adapted to the hanging speed. The PräForm machine is therefore already open if we want to insert another book. This speeds up the work process.

The pressure of the pressing plates can be adjusted in two stages. In this way, even delicate products can be processed even at 50% pressure
